COVID Tracking

As COVID impacted the workforce' health and hugely impacted the Organization' Operations, this initiative was the flagship project in 2020-2021 executed and enhanced with sense of urgency and security.

It was key to making data driven return to work decisions regarding COVID19;visibility to continued Employee health, safety and business needs; pioneer for several other initiatives including Vaccination Tracking, Building Occupancy , Visitor tracking

Contributions

• Improved productivity of People system & Analytics team by 58% through automation

• Improved Performance and runtime of the data pipelines (from 20 min to <30sec)

• Reduced memory spikes in the server during peak hours

• Reduced Latency from 2 hours to <10 minutes.

• Optimized Asset utilization and improvised governance to accommodate HIPAA data by eliminating redundant data store.

• Out of box solution to incorporate PowerShell Scripts in Alteryx for file management.

• Refined Anomaly detection and notification setup for Medical team to follow-up and incorporate corrections with data entry.

Overcome the challenge in identifying the root cause of Revenue decline through Data investigation and exploratory analysis on Intermodal Business unit.

Contributions

• Data driven business decision lead to estimated increase of 6-7% Intermodal revenue.

• Improved Revenue Ton Miles, a metrics for revenue earned for transporting one ton of freight across one mile.

• Data exploration and Visualization detected revenue contributors and the impact of empty rail cars' inclusion on revenue.

Track and Visualize Technology' progress toward achieving key business objectives and goals. KPIs includes High visibility project Index, Cloud Adoption, Asset Utilization, Train Delays, Enterprise Agile maturity (accounting Agile adopted and In-scope Teams), Employee development KPIs and more

Contributions:

• Automated the manual effort of 20 teams resulting in saving 200+ hours every month

• Broke data silos by acquiring, transforming, and seamlessly integrating Business Inputs to Tableau visualizations with none-minimal monthly follow-up.

• Single handedly collaborated with over 20 stakeholders and Technology team to provide visibility and KPI’ progress towards its respective goals to the Executive leaders.

Cost efficient Governance CLEAN strategy

A critical undertaking to Optimize Asset utilization leading to improved efficiency ,cost control , drive Internal productivity and lead to the path of new innovations

Contributions:

• Rationalized and rebranded a lean Front-end environment by retiring two-third of its footprint.

• Saved over 0.5M$ by returning funds, licenses and avoided vendor payment.

• Recovered 70% of output storage from 500GB to 150GB

• 600+ users revoked and license recovered and retired 60+ data models out of 300.

• Efficiently dealt with the incompleteness of the information with a structured strategy, backup mechanisms with carefully calculated risks that minimally impacted User Experience

Automated Insights to an Informed Hiring

A currently ongoing high visibility initiative to track and better manage Conductor Hiring and Training process that will expected to lead to better employee retention

Contributions:

• Responsible for building scalable data solutions that scaled from 0 to 2000+ employee within few months

• Established Descriptive and Prescriptive analysis to observe and suggest management and HR for best course of action with Conductor Crew Hiring.

• Alignment with Organization’ Strategic vision to Automate and understand the points of fallouts/attrition, flow bottleneck, impact of the Referral incentive in the Hiring process

• Efficient handling of ambiguity and disconnects in the process flow by undertaking balanced decision and enabled exploratory capabilities to equip leadership

Client - Honeywell Aerospace, Phoenix, AZ (Apr 2004) – (Jul 2008)

Projects/Tasks: Aerospace Information Warehouse:

Aerospace Information warehouse is the Enterprise warehouse containing all of Honeywell Aerospace data from various plants across the globe from many source systems (SAP R/3, Legacy system, Siebel, Oracle Apps…). Worked in reporting developer with Business Object XI, 6.5 and universe Designer

Role / Responsibility:

· Key player in Rollout of Custom built SAP Business Objects Application (Dashboards & Reports) for several Honeywell International sites in North America, Europe and Asia pacific region.

· Worked on business requirements collection, functional and reporting design specifications. Developed reports through Business Objects XI R2, 6.5

Projects/Tasks: Market Demand Model:

To enable the users with the ability to forecast the impact of multiple, disparate external forces on Honeywell & Competitor Aerospace OEM, R&O, and Spares revenues, entitlement and profitability by a number of different dimensions (i.e. by SBU, SBE, geographic region, platform, product line, time, customer, business mix, and market mix).

Role / Responsibility:

· Programming, Unit Testing, System testing and Performance Tuning including:

· Develop and Test reports using Siebel Analytics 7.5.3. Developed Stored procedures, Materialized views and ETL process using Oracle/ Informatica from a variety of mainframe and legacy systems.

Client – Honeywell Specialty Materials, Morristown, NJ (Sep 2003 to Mar 2004)

Projects/Tasks: Material Management Reporting:

Application to provide Reporting capabilities for Purchasing and Transportation & Logistics Metrics. The Chemical Industries Data Warehouse (CIDW) acts as the basic source of data for the Cognos Reports, Cubes and Visualization
